Sobre este artículo
New York: Praeger Publishers, 1971. First edition of this well-illustrated monograph on the work of American marine painter Fitz Hugh Lane. The author places Lane's work in the context of its day - including the "nature" ethos in American thought and painting of the nineteenth century - and examines his central place in luminism and between the two generations of the Hudson River School. Illustrated in both color and in black and white. Blue cloth with deeper blue cloth spine, 203 pages, printed dustjacket. Book is in near fine condition, looks and feels new, with just a trace of foxing to the upper edge of the text block, pages clean with no names or other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is priceclipped and has some very modest edge rubbing, no chips or tears.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. Squared 4to.
