(NewYork and Holyoke, MA); and Palmer Publications, Inc. (Evanston IL), 1957. Five 1957 Science Fiction Periodical Covers; four 12mo, one octavo. Though nowhere so indicated within, these are from the UFOlogy collection of Max Miller, founder of Flying Saucers International and editor of 'Saucers', the organization's periodical publication. These covers were detached by him, then re-stapled by him with a small amount (from 4 to 28 pp.) of the original contents of each inside it. The five issues are from three periodicals - Fantastic Universe Science Fiction (3), The Original Science Fiction Stories (1), and Other Worlds Science Stories (1), which dealt primarily in science fiction, but also contained some UFO scientific speculation pieces. Why Max Miller separated these covers, and why he selected the pages he did to re-staple within them, is unknown to us. As covers, all are in about Very Good condition, but having been dissociated places them technically in poor condition, as books, of course. Pages show moderate to strong age-toning.
