He was a regular correspondent of Joseph Conrad, and collaborated on two plays with Phillpotts himself.Illustrated with sixteen plates by Charles J. Folkard. Collated, complete.With an advertisement leaf to the rear.A fantastical fairy tale about Dartmoor, which includes fairies, a 'zagabog', and a hot water bottle named Bismark. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with pictorial gilt detailing to the front board. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with a touch of fraying in these regions. Inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned, with instances of spotting throughout, most concentrated to pages facing plates. Pencil notations throughout. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
