Sobre este artículo
Draining an area equal to France, Spain and Portugal combined, Lake Eyre is an immense salt lake and one of the great natural wonders of the world. Considered to be permanently dry, the last forty years witnessed some twenty flood events with spectacular ones in 1950, 1974 and 1984 with the transformation of the desert being miraculous. The origin, occurrence, and behaviour of the water in the Lake is described with an estimate of inflows for the period 1885-1984. 99 pages with aerial and satellite photographs, maps and graphs, and a selection of magnificent colour photographs. Book and dust jacket in near fine condition.
