Wells was a prolific English writer and has been described as the father of science fiction. With marginal drawings by J. R. Sinclair and seven photographic plates and a frontispiece. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some marks to the boards and light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Previous owner pencil markings to the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bond with bright and clean pages. Very Good
Sinopsis
The jolliest indoor games for boys and girls demand a floor, and the home that has no floor upon which games may be played falls so far short of happiness. It must be a floor covered with linoleum or cork carpet, so that toy soldiers and such-like will stand up upon it, and of a color and surface that will take and show chalk marks; the common green- colored cork carpet without a pattern is the best of all.

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
