Small thick octavo, pp xxxiv, (ii), 798, (6), age-toned but otherwise extremely clean and firm, solidly bound in green cloth, with the original front paper cover restored and bound in. RARE.Pancic was a Croatian botanist and physician, eventually becoming Director of the Belgrade Botanic Garden. [ With a fine botanical provenance - the blindstamp of A.J. Wilmott, Kew botanist and ping-pong champion; from whom it went to Arthur Hugh Garfit Alston of the British Museum with his bequest label on the front endpaper; and finally back to Kew again to bear the signature of Alan Radcliffe-Smith.]. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good.
