Torrey's meticulous description of the flora of New York state was issued as part of the NATURAL HISTORY OF NEW YORK, published between 1842 and 1894. Hundreds of plants are described, and more than 160 are illustrated in the attractive lithographed plates. Almost all the plate were produced by the Endicott firm. A handsome set of a work usually found in terrible condition.
