Sobre este artículo

Lucca: Francisco Bonsignori , 1791 2 volumes in-8, [2], XLIV, 144 pp, folding plate; [4], 281 pp. Uncut and untrimmed, bound in slightly later Morocco gilt, both covers bear the coat of arms of Joachim Gomez de la Cortina, Marqués de Morante (1808-1868), with his armorial bookplate and a bookseller's ticket affixed to the front pastedown. An armorial bookplate of Alexandre Gitton du Plessis (1800-1888) is tipped into the front free endpaper. Top edge gilt, marbled endpapers (joints slightly rubbed, paper of some pages somewhat toned inside, a written number on the verso of the front free endpaper). Angelo Maria Bandini (1726-1803), a Florentine antiquarian, served as the librarian of the Laurentian Library from 1756 until his death. In writing this book, Bandini drew from archives and his extensive knowledge of libraries and collections. His research unearthed numerous biographical details, leading to the development of the genealogy of the Giunta family of printers in Florence, Venice, and Lyon. A substantial portion of the book is dedicated to "Memorabilia clarorum virorum, qui Juntinis typis praefuerunt," a bio-bibliographical dictionary of authors printed by Giunta. Bigmore & Wyman, Vol. I, p. 33.
