London: Whittaker & Co, 1834. Two hardcover books bound in the publisher's original half leather-gilt. The two books contain 611 pages with 27 full-page hand-colored lithographic plates and numerous black-and-white in-text diagrammatic illustrations. Both books are in good condition. No ownership marks/writing present. Interior pages and plates mostly clean and bright. Light spotting/offsetting to the end pages. Vol. III's front hinges fragile. Moderate to heavy edge wear/tear, rubbing to the bindings. Chipping and tape repair to vol. II's spine panel. A previous owner has affixed a small botanical illustration to vol. II rear free end page.
