Sobre este artículo

New York: Harper and Brothers, 1885. Cloth. Good. Illustrated green cloth publisher's binding. 364 pp., plus ads in the rear. Black and white illustrations throughout. A detailed guide to the making and use of fly-fishing rods and fly-fishing tackle, discussing materials and the construction of fly rods, as well as reels, etc. By Henry P. Wells, a New York attorney and avid fly fisherman who wrote many works on the subject. He built water tanks and conducted experiments and observations on material and fish, and is perhaps best known for his fly, the Parmacheene Belle, which is discussed in this work. Small bookplate/tag on the lower rear inside cover reading "Henry K. Van Siclen, Bibliopole." GOOD condition. General fading, some scuffing and minor soiling to the covers. Cloth rather frayed and worn along the hinges and extremities. Front interior hinge cracked and almost completely separated from the binding. General toning to the paper, with an intermittent moderate dampstain affecting the lower corner of the pages throughout.

Sobre Mare Booksellers

Mare Booksellers specializes in punk fanzines, with interests in underground newspapers and art. Who are we kidding? We really like anything with printed or handwritten letters, whether paper, books, etc. (Okay, letters and words aren't really that important either).
