There is also a specially printed leaf laid in at the front, signed by Wall, that reads: "To Mr. & Mrs. Wm. H. Wiese, Friends and Lovers of the Arts." The Wieses subscribed to the original limited-edition portfolios of etchings that are collected in this book, and Wall apparently presented special copies like this in gratitude for their support..
