Sobre este artículo

Hartford, Conn: The American Publishing Company, 1897. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. With the fame and fortune achieved with Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, beloved Mark Twain went on a tour of world. The volume contains Twain's recollections, observations and stories of his journey, with all of the wit and humor one would expect from Twain. It's quoted that Ernest Hemingway stated "all modern American literature began with Huckleberry Finn". 1st printing denoted by ll located on page 161. BAL 3451. Dark blue cloth over boards, Image of elephant surrounded by gilt design to front board, title, author and publisher in gilt to spine, surround by design in gilt; Measures approximately 9 1/4" by 6 1/2", pagination; [i] frontispiece, [1-7] 8-712. Overall Very Good. The interior of the book is very clean, the hinges are sound and tissue guards in place. Noticeable water stain to front board, light wear to corner tips, front joint and head/tail of spine, spine lightly sunned, prior owner name to front free endpaper, 1/8" tear to outer margin of title page, headbands in place. A very good copy of a heavy book that is often found in poor condition. As a heavy book this order may incur additional shipping charges.
