Hardcover, "Being records of the results of some thousands of original microscopical and chemical analyses of the solids and fluids consumed by all classes of the public; and contains the names and addresses of the various merchants, manufacturers and tradesmen of whom the analysed articles were purchased - illustrated by 159 engravings," this is an ex-"Mercantile Library" (Philadelphia) copy and has been rebound in brown cloth with gold title and cataloging number on spine, the blank front end-paper is present but detached, the stitched binding is stretched at a few points but the binding is tight overall, minor pencil markings are present on two pages and a few discreet library stamps are present on the pages, "Mercantile Library" is blind-stamped on the front and rear covers, mild bumping to the corners, a clean copy inside and out, all of the text and illustrations remain in nice shape ; 659 pages .
