The booklet is in Very Good condition and was issued without a dust jacket. There is a strip of sunning to the top rear cover of the book. The text pages are clean and bright. The print on this booklet is really small. There is an inked previous owner's name on the front inside cover. This publication lists "all of the food plants that appeared in Ethnobotanical publications during a period of nearly 80 years." (From the booklet introduction) The list was compiled when the Carbohydrate Division of the Bureau of Chemistry systematically investigated the amount of carbohydrates in plants - one of the scientists suggested attention be given to "plants used for food by the North American Indians." this booklet results from those investigations. .
