Sobre este artículo
London: HarperCollins, 1997. first edition . Signed by Baxter.. fine hardcover fine jacket Described by Baxter as "a novel based on the short stories which - together with my novels of Raft (1991), Timelike Infinity (1992), Flux (1993) and Ring (1994) - comprise my 'Xeelee Sequence' Future History." "Baxter truly astonishes, and Vacuum Diagrams succeeds in building such a sense of epic scope that the individual stories do indeed begin to recede into the whole as one reads it .... his awesome context lends them a flavor that is pure Baxter, and that makes Vacuum Diagrams into one of the most original and exhilarating collections of recent years."- Locus, October 1997.
Sinopsis
Vacuum Diagrams is a collection of science fiction short stories written by Stephen Baxter. The collection connects the novels of the Xeelee Sequence and also shows the history of mankind in the Xeelee universe, and ultimately the universe. While each short story in the collection is self-contained, the stories are presented as being contained in the context of the first story, Eve, about a man who is forced to witness the events in the short stories by a god-like being.
