Sobre este artículo
London: MacMillan & Co, 1901. 3rd Edition. Buckram. 8º, 20cm. ; xvi, 250pp.; cream colored buckram with gilt flower urn, topiary and swallows pressed on cover, gilt title to spine, edges tinted green; spine darkened with small abrasion, interior very good. The preface to the third edition has Blomfield in a more conciliatory and reflective mood after his stinging rebuke to William Robinson in the preface to the 2nd edition. Blomfield does not mention Robinson's name here (referring to him only as 'a writer with a turn for petty sentiment' , but alludes to the controversy between landscape gardeners and architects.
