Names 222 individuals from various counties in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Virginia, South Carolina, Texas, Mississippi, Kentucky, & 1 from Washington, D.C. The act further stipulates that the named individuals "who have been or shall be elected or appointed to any office or place of trust" will "take and subscribe an oath to be taken by persons from whom legal disabilities have been removed." The act passed the House of Representatives on February 16, 1869 and was apparently awaiting action in the senate. OCLC does not record a separate printing.
