Dublin: Talbot Press Ltd, 1920. First Edition. Green cloth hardback, with black titles and illustration to front board. Gilt titles to the spine, now very faded. Small spot to the top of the front board is the only mark to the boards. Biographies and descriptions of paintings. Numerous black and white examples of artworks. Nice clean condition, with some age toning and moderate darkening to the page edges. Thomas Patrick Bodkin (1887–1961) was an Irish lawyer, art historian, art collector and curator. Bodkin was Director of the National Gallery of Ireland. 236 pages. 210 x 170 mm (8¼ x 6¾ inches).
