Sobre este artículo
256 pages. Small octavo (7 1/2" x 5") bound in original publisher's orange cloth with green lettering to spine and cover in original jacket. First edition.
This tells the story of an expedition to a buried city in the desert of Central Asia to dig up a gold Buddha. This is no expedition made holy by "a thirst for knowledge," but rather a desperate adventure in which each of those who take part in it is motivated by some emotion or ambition that springs the deepest cravings of men and women in this somewhat mad civilization of ours.
Condition:
Cloth spine sunned and wrinkled, some edgewear to binding. Mild foxing to end leaves. Jacket spine toned and worn. Some rubbing, mild wear to jacket panels. Else very good.
