Previous owner name in brown ink on front free endpaper. Several pages lightly smudged. Light erasure mark on fourth text page. Red boards with white lettering. Cover shows light wear, ends of spine gently bumped. Dust jacket has large inch by two piece missing from lower corner of front panel, chipping to edges and spine. Two dollar price printed on front flap. Rear panel of DJ has pencil marks from previous owner. States First Edition with both Doubleday & Company and Jr. Literary Guild imprint on copyright page. ; [Baumgarten: Author - 54]; B&W and Color Illustrations .
