La MaMa. No binding. Fine. Andrei Serban (director) New York: La MaMa Repertory Company, 1975. Vintage original 32 x 22" (81 x 56 cm.) theatre poster, unfolded, fine. Serban directed this daring production with THE TROJAN WOMEN and MEDEA in ancient Greek, with music by Elizabeth Swados, and the text was partially chanted or sung in Mayan, Nahuatl, Inahien and Aztec. No subtitles of any kind were used, and the audience was expected to experience this work viscerally, without being able to understand the text literally.
