Sobre este artículo
National Geographic Society, 2008. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. As New/As New. Stunning collection of photographic images, documents, painting, & artifacts documenting the history of black enslavement in the United States, representing part of the collection of what was planned as the United States National Slavery Museum, designed to be established in Fredericksburg, Virgina in the early 2000s, but never built. In 256 pages with Foreword by former governor of Virginia, L. Douglas Wilder, the grandson of slaves & the first African American to be elected to that position in US history in 1989, who was the driving force behind the museum that was never to be. This book is all that remains. Oversize hardcover book has decorative paper over boards with an image matched on the accompanying DJ. Both are As New: as flawless as if just published! Completely clean & bright, binding strong & straight, pages white, colors bright. The unclipped DJ is equally flawless, with no wear or fading. Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same Day Shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays (PST); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day. SORRY: book is too large for expedited domestic or any international shipping without preapproval of extra postage (at least double per USPS rates).
