Sobre este artículo
London: Jonathan Cape, 1981. Cloth. Fine/Fine. 8" by 5.5". None. A signed copy of the famous postmodern romance The French Lieutenant's Woman, by the internationally renowned author John Fowles. The eighth impression of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Signed by the author to the half title page. The French Lieutenant's Woman is a novel by John Fowles (1926-2005), first published in 1969. It is a Victorian-era romance with a postmodern twist, set in Lyme Regis, Dorset, where Fowles lived for much of his life. Part of the novel's critical success concerns its postmodern literary qualities, with expressions of metafiction, historiography, metahistory, Marxist criticism, and feminism. In publisher's original cloth binding, with original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is in excellent condition. Colour and gilt remain bright. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are clean but somewhat age toned. Dust wrapper is in lovely condition. Fine
