Foreword by author, foreword to the second edition, again by author, list of plates, acknowledgements, introduction by author, marks, bibliography and index. Colour photographic frontispiece, showing a lidded jug from approximately 1755-60. The text is illustrated with 95 pages of black-and-white photographs – at the rear of the book. Bright blue coloured cloth covered boards red coloured insert to the back strip and within the insert and to the back strip gilt coloured titles. This book was first published in 1950. A look at French porcelain in the 18th century. This book is an ex-library book and has the faults of same: – numerous library stamps are present, but have been covered over using a black coloured marker, including the top and rear text block edges. Remnants of tape can be seen to the endpages and there is softening and rubbing of the back strip edges and rubbing of the book corners. Age toning of the text block edges and pages. Second Edition.
