Atlanta: The High Museum of Art, 1982. FIRST EDITION THUS, FIRST PRINTING THUS. FINE. HATFIELD BOOKS AND MEMORABILIA, a FIVE STAR SELLER, presents FRENCH SALON PAINTINGS FROM SOUTHERN COLLECTIONS. Eric Zafran was the Curator of European Art at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta where the touring exhibition originated. Other installations occurred at The Chrysler Museum, Norfolk, the North Carolina Museum of Art, Raleigh, and the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Sarasota. Black and white and color plates of the paintings plus photos of the original Paris salons as well as the turn-of-the-century southern mansions in which they were exhibited. RARE and COLLECTIBLE soft bound book, 8 1'2" x 11" (may require additional postage), 173 pages. Overall book is FINE. Pages = fine: owner's name on reverse front cover, ink figures on first fep, ink check marks on the list of artists, else tight, white, sharp, clear print and colors, no additional marks. Cover (glossy stiff paper with salon painting on front with particulars in white; beige/pink back with black particulars) = Near Fine: 2 creases and 1 scratch on back, on crease front,one crease spine, corners lightly rubbed, else tight, square, clear, colorful, no tearing or chipping.
