Pages crisp and clean except for a rectangle of tanning at the front free endpaper; no owners' marks. Binding square and secure. Hard cover shows only modest rubbing at the spine ends, otherwise clean and excellent. Jacket shows small chips at corners and spine ends, a few smudges on the rear, slight toning at the spine, otherwise clean and attractive, now protected in a new, clear sleeve.
