Philadelphia: John Richardson, 1828. Hardcover. Fair. First edition. Volume 1 only. Quarto. [1-6], 416pp., with an index at the front. Contains the first 52 weekly issues: (October 13, 1827 - October 11, 1828). Contemporary quarter calf and marbled papers over boards. The leather spine back is mostly perished, front board nearly detached (held in place by original stitching), else good with scattered foxing.
