Fine in like jacket, a nice, clean copy. History of the only town in Texas that began as a Quaker colony. South of Houston, Friendswood has grown into a large suburban community near NASA's Johnson Space Center. The First Edition has 237 pages. Subsequent editions are abridged and have 132 pages with Notes, Bibliography, Index, and Name Index. This copy is an abridged Second Edition signed by the author on the title page (name only, no personal inscription)..

Straight, tight and clean with no markings, slightest spine-end and corner wear. Dustjacket as new but for slight edge touches, light crease to rear flap. The complete history of the city of Friendswood, Texas from its inception as a small Quaker community dependent on the cultivation of figs in 1895, and published as a commemorative for the city's centennial in 1995.
