Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound hardcover, clean, if lightly toned interior, minimal rubbing to extremities, with gilt lettering spine and front cover. Bound handsomely in a light blue buckram cloth, ruled, and with sharp and distinct gilt lettering to front cover. Housed in a simple folding clamshell box, sunned a bit along the edges, and lightly worn, but also with gilt lettering to spine. Presumed First Edition, with no other printings indicated. John Galsworthy was the eventual winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1932; this play in four acts is set throughout Britain at the turn of the last century; try as she might, a woman's quest for happiness in life leads to more pain. 93 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
