Sobre este artículo
Oosterhout, Netherlands : Anthropological Publications, 1962 Anthropological Publications, Oosterhout, Netherlands. 1962. Softcover/Trade Wraps. First Edition. Book is tight, square and unmarked but for several underlinings in Chapter 1. Book Condition: Good; light wear to head, tail, edges, and tips; scattered coffee splashes on rear wrap; slight soiling to wraps. No DJ. Pictorial French fold wraps. Wraps are not bent or folded; spine is not creased or split; text is secure in binding. 221 pp 8vo. Folklore began as early as mankind, but really was not named as such until 1846 found this easier to say than popular antiquities. Folklore exists best in primitive unlettered society where people remember it and transmit it to others. Folklore is really the generic term to designate the customs, beliefs, traditions, tales, magical practices, and songs of a homogeneous unsophisticated people. The problem with folklore is that the wording and meaning can change with the presenter and what he remembers from past tellings, thus a written account is superior and the basis of this book. A clean very presentable copy.
