Toronto: Ryerson Press, 1953. First Canadian Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. This is a stated "First Canadian Edition, September, 1953." The interior of the book is clean and tight. There is a former owner's name, address, and date (December 1957) on the front free end paper, but no other marks. The red cloth covers are fresh, with shallow bumps at the top and bottom of the spine, but again little other wear. The dust jacket is not corner clipped, but is only in Good condition, with paper missing from the top and bottom of the spine area. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: This is a collection of short stories, mainly about the inhabitants of Avonlea.
Sinopsis
Further Chronicles of Avonlea is a collection of short stories by L. M. Montgomery and is a sequel to Chronicles of Avonlea. Published in 1920, it includes a number of stories relating to the inhabitants of the fictional Canadian village of Avonlea and its region, located on Prince Edward Island.
