This is Gail Halvorsen's own story of his adventures as Berlin's Candy Bomber during the years of the Berlin Airlift.Originally published in 1990, this is the Revised Edition from Horizon Publishers of Bountiful, Utah, published in 1997. Trade size paperback, 291 pages, with end notes. Many photo illustrations throughout. Note: it appears the blank front endpaper is missing, as book opens to title page. At top of title page is the inscription in ink: "To Mr. E... M..... with best wishes - Gail Halvorsen, Col. USAF (Ret)". At bottom of title page is the former owners gift inscription "Merry Christmas '00..." and etc. (3 lines). The rest of the interior pages are entirely clean and bright, with solid binding. Front cover features a bright and colorful illustration and covers are clean and bright with solid binding, .
