Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Thumb-marking present. Noticeable creasing to gutter. Cracking to hinges and gutters, leaving netting exposed. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Visible crushing to spine ends. Some tanning to spine and edges. Water staining to boards. Black and white marks to boards. Textblock is shaky. Book has a visible forward lean.

Fascinating and authentic accounts of hazardous deeds and breath-taking escapes during Naval Warfare.Personal narratives include: the chase of the Nurnburg by H.M.S. Kent; the dash into Kronstadt Harbour; Why the Goeben and Breslau escaped; and the Coronel disaster. Blue cloth cover with gilt lettering on spine. 296 p.pages, 650g, 8 3/4" tall. No inscriptions. Jacket had edgewear, a few small closed edge tears, a piece an inch long x half inch wide missing from spine, and a very small piece missing at fore edge.
