Sobre este artículo
New York: St. Martin's Press, 1981. First edition. Hardcover. Fine copy/price-clipped, else fine. 8vo. Boards. Pp. (vi), 280, (ii).
Based on the screenplay by David Williamson from a story by Peter Weir. This is an unusual case of a book written on a movie. Peter Weir's well-known film starring Mark Lee and Mel Gibson made a tremendous impact when it appeared in 1981. However, the back-story about the main characters was skimpy and needed further development, so the South African writer, Jack Bennett, took on the task. The novel he wrote is in many ways better than the film, although the visual impact of what happens can hardly be bettered.
