John Galsworthy, 1867-1933, was an English Author noted for his satire on the British upper-middle class, late 19th-early 20th century. Hardcover in Very Good Condition. No Jacket. Binding of green buckram w/gilt titles, backstrap gilt decorated with five low raised bands, front with four blind-stamped borders, gilt titles. Very clean and unmarked with slight wear of front lower corner and rubbing of spine head/heel. Lower text block has a circular 1 cm spot and the corner is smudged. Rough cut. Title page decorated with border of red design; frontispiece with same red border, of Bury House, John Galsworthy's Home in Sussex, England. Pages very clean, no marks, no tears, lightly toned. 739 pages. 7.75 x 5.5 x 1.6 inches. Publisher: New York. Charles Scribners Sons, 1929.
