Dust jacket condition very good plus, slight rubbing to folds, spine ever so slightly sunned, slight age toning to the jacket, not price clipped. Inscribed by Piers Paul Read to Alastair Hamilton on the front end-paper; "For Alastair, my dearest friend and colleague. Piers. June, 1966." From the collection of Jonathan Gili (1943-2004), film-maker, director and collector of various items, especially signed books. Read's first book, a 20th Century idealistic socialist's fantasy dream.
