Oversize hardcover, 8 x 11 inches, has pictorial paper-covered boards with olive cloth-covered spine and gold spine lettering. Covers have images of flowers in crewel embroidery. Black & white illustrations; additional green illustrations within the diary pages. Diary [provides spaces for recording four years of garden progress, with early, mid, and late month pages for each month. Between months there are excerpt from The Retir'd Gard'ner (London, 1706). There are blank pages at the end for designing the physical plan of the garden, and lined ledger-style pages for recording seed and plant purchases. Unpaginated. NOT Remaindered. NOT ex-library. Binding tight. Appears to be unread. Book is in excellent condition with only a hint of shelf wear at the spine ends. Pages clean and unmarked. No dust jacket, as issued. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
