Concord: Jacob B. Moore. Good+. 1823. First Edition. Hardcover. This early New Hampshire gazetteer contains town and city names, history, names of first settlers & their hardships, county histories and names, etc. Contains 9 plates & a HAND-COLORED FOLDING MAP which is separated at some folds and torn at bottom through careless refolding. Top of spine pulled with two minor tears. This is a desireable early New Hampshire gazetteer. Original leather covers with original red leather spine label, the joints are tender, scattered light foxing and tanning to text blocks, previous owner name (Smith Swaines) tipped in on a card on front end paper & dated March 4th, 1827, one signature pulled. Ref: Howes H41, Sabin 23839 ; B&W Illustrations; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 276 pages .
