Copy of Dr. Leo Burgerstein 1853-1928 (cover stamp), tiny cover chip with minor edge wear to uncut pages. Publisher ad for 3 cholera publications (inside front cover). The 1892 outbreak of Cholera in Hamburg (listed in 5th Cholera Pandemic) marked the last serious European outbreak due to improvements in water and sewage treatments. Cholera continues to claim about 100-130,000 lives per year. With 37 additional participants, Burgerstein (University of Vienna) was guest lecturer in school hygiene with both Freud and Jung at Clark University's historic conference "Psychology, Pedagogy and School Hygiene", September 6-11, 1909. Scarce association copy..
