London: Charles Griffin and Company, 1865. Book. Illus. by F. A. Lydon. Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition Thus. 4to. Pp. 60, plus 28 color plates + title page vignette. Contemporary full blue pebbled leather, ornate gilt detail to front board, armorial vignette to the front and rear board, generous gilt dentelles,spine faded and rubbed, decoration remains by virtue of blind stamp detail. Contents good and tight, the original marbled end-papers are unmarked, all edges gilt, spotting to reverse of endpapers and a few of the first and last pages, the plates with tissue guards are generally clean and bright with a little scattered foxing to text and edges. A very good copy with outstanding coloured plates printed by Benjamin Fawcett, Driffield. [Ruari and Antonio McLean 38 Charles Griffin & Co. 1865].
