Rear cover in English, else entire text in Arabic. bound in tan paper wrappers with book block untrimmed and most signatures uncut along top edge. The ?ub? al-A?shá.was penned by the medieval Egyptian encyclopedist, polymath and mathematician al-Qalqashandi and comprises an encyclopedia of administrative governmental papers of Fatimid, Ayyubid, and Mamluk Times in Egypt. This index was prepared by Muh. Q. Al-Baqli and supervised and introduced by Dr. Sa'id Ashur. Published in Cairo circa 1972. A serviceable copy even with uncut pages. Book is tight, clean and unmarked. Good or better copy. .
