Vintage, 1998. Reprint. Softcover. Very Good Condition. Acknowledgements, the text is illustrated with four inserts of eight pages each of black and white photography. Photographic paperback binding with blue and gilt coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Jacqueline Du Preis acknowledged as one of the most amazing cellists of the 20th century (if not history). At 16 she made her debut and 10 years later stopped playing, virtually overnight, due to a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. She died 14 years later of the crippling disease. This is, not exactly a biography of Jacqueline du Pre, but, a remembrance of her both as a child and as an adult by her brother and her sister. Creasing of the book corners with rubbing of the book edges and panels. Reading crease to the back strip with age toning of the text block edges and pages. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
