The author, Professor of Botany at the University of Maryland, is a contributor to "Flora of North America" and "Intermountain Flora" and an expert on plant nomenclature. The book also contains some interesting biographical information on prominent botanical explorers and artists. Printed in Japan by Dai Nippon; attractive end papers.
