London: Cassell, 1967. First Edition. PROOF of the First UK Edition (CORRECTED IN THE AUTHOR'S HAND). Publisher's original pale grey wrappers. No proof D/W (but not sure if there ever was one). A VG+ copy slightly browned to the slanted spine and the edges of the front and back cover. Alterations to the text in the Author's hand to 85 pages. Laid in a letter from the then-Secretary of the Crime Writers Association inviting Alan Hunter to serve on the Critics panel to select the best crime novel of 1967. From the Author's estate. Rare.
