Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1972. First edition. Cloth. Very good/very good. (1972). Octavo (9" x 6"), teal cloth, gilt, in pictorial jacket. 554 pp. with index, bibliography and references. Very good in very good jacket. Jacket had a 1/4" closed tear on the back panel at the bottom and a 3/4 " closed tear at the top of the spine on the front panel. The price has been clipped, and there is a small crease at the bottom of the front flap. There is a spot on the bottom of the front cover which looks like glue, but it is faint. No attempt has been made to remove it. "George Washington: Anguish and Farewell is the fourth and final volume of one of the moat distinguished American biographies of our generation."
