From the library of the World War One naval aviator Charles Frederic Beach, signed by him on the front endpaper.<p>Laid in at the front is a typed form letter signed by the founder of the Yale University Press, George Parmly Day, presenting the book to a classmate of Ensign Curtis Seaman Read, in his memory.
