Metropolitan Museum Of Modern Art, NY, 1978; First Edition; tall quarto (14" x 11"), 128 pages. Fifty-one rich full-page gravure reproductions of photographs of Georgia O’Keeffe taken by Alfred Stieglitz from 1917 - 1930, with an eleven-page introduction by O’Keeffe. Complete index of all works shown, with dates, at the back. Printed in Monotype Bell and Bembo by the Stinehour Press, Lunenburg, Vermont, on Monadnock Caress paper. Plates by Meriden Gravure Company, Meriden, Connecticut. Binding by Publisher’s Book Bindery, Long Island City, New York. Fine, in gray boards with gilt titles. Clean, crisp, bright, corners sharp, no ownership signatures or any other markings of any kind. In the original Very Good slipcase which is clean, absolutely sound, with very slight sunning and miniscule wear. A desirable copy of the first edition, published by M.O.M.A. under the direction of O’Keeffe in conjunction with the Stieglitz exhibition that year, composed chiefly of prints from her personal collection on loan to the museum.
