Sobre este artículo
Leningrad [St. Petersburg], USSR: Soviet Composer Publishers, 1989. First Thus . Stapled Wraps. Very Good. 4.25" x 9.5. This essay on the House of Composers deals with the history of one of the most beautiful buildings in St. Petersburg, Russia - situated in the old area surrounding St. Isaak's Cathedral. It was built between 1836 and 1842 by the great architect August Montferrand, for P. Demidov (Prince San Donato). It was "nationalized" after the October Revolution and became the home of the Leningrad Composers Union in the late 1940s. 16 pages, generously illustrated with color photographs. CONDITION: a bright, solid, unmarked copy with moderate shelf-wear, its upper corners slightly bent (but not creased). This attractive rarity is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag with archival backing board.
