Erftstadt, Area, 2005. 8°, 396, 391 S., einige Abb., Kart. in Schuber, Tadell. Während des Ersten Weltkrieges war Adolf Waas Volontär in der Großherzoglichen Hofbibliothek in Darmstadt. Seine Promotion erlangte er an der Universität Gießen 1917 mit der kurzen Schrift über die mittelalterliche Vogtei Das Wesen der Vogtei im fränkischen und deutschen Reich, der er 1923 einen zweiten Teil hinzufügte, der die Bede beinhaltete. 1919 war er in der Stadtbibliothek Mainz bei der Entwicklung des Mainzer Sachkatalogs durch Hanns Wilhelm Eppelsheimer beteiligt. In dieser Zeit entwickelte er sich zu einem Fachmann für das Volksbüchereiwesen und vertrat die Position einer gesonderten Ausbildung für Volksbüchereien. Von 1924 bis 1927 war er Leiter der Stadtbücherei Darmstadt. 1927 wurde von ihm im Saarland die zweite deutsche motorisierte Fahrbibliothek eingesetzt. Im nächsten Jahr wurde er Leiter der Frankfurter Volksbücherei, wurde jedoch als SPD-Mitglied 1933 seines Amtes enthoben.Waas bewarb sich sodann 1933 um die neue Stelle als Bibliothekar der Forschungsabteilung Judenfrage im Historicum der Universitätsbibliothek München, wurde aber auch hier aufgrund seiner Nähe zur Sozialdemokratie abgelehnt. 010

Invoices are to be paid within 15 days. For first orders we reserve delivery after payment in advance. In case of delay of payment, the second reminder is charged at an extra cost of CHF 10.00. Also, other additional costs are charged to the customer.
Sales return
In the event of a well-founded claim, the merchandise can be returned upon consultation within 14 days. If the claim turns out to be unsubstantiated, or the damage is the result from improper handling by the customer etc., all the costs are charged to the customer. Returns are only accepted with the invoice enclosed. Damages during shipment have to be notified within 48 hours. Otherwise the refund expires. Return upon dissatisfaction is excluded.
Place of venue
We are subject only to Swiss law. Place of venue is Zurich.
