U.S.A.: HARCOURT, 1944. First American Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. From the collection of Seattle Architect and prolific bookman Donald Olsen--First Printing 1944. This copy is signed by Saroyan on the half title page--signature only without any inscriptions. Fine in a near fine clipped dustjacket. Red cloth with black lettering to the spine. Unmarked and tight copy with only light age toning to the page extremities. Original collectors bookplate to the pastedown. The dustjacket has been clipped and there is light edgewear to the edges and corners--but still a bright clear dustjacket. This play was performed for a short run on Broadway with Richard Widmark starring. Scarce signed.
